Tradeswomen Socials

Tradeswomen Socials

OAWA, Untapped Talent and MentorAbility are hitting the road!

We’re teaming up with Untapped Talent, powered by CCRW, and Mentorability for a series of free events in Gander, Corner Brook and Grand Falls-Windsor.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to recognize the contributions of people with disabilities in the workplace and highlight the importance of creating accessible and inclusive employment opportunities. And what better way to celebrate than bringing disability resources to our clients and industry partners.

Each community will host a Tradeswomen Social, creating opportunities to connect with people, programs and services that support participation in the workforce.

Come out for a relaxed evening with other tradeswomen and connect with organizations that offer programs and services to support women in the workforce.

We’ll be making keychains and phone charms, with all materials provided.

The activity is a simple way to bring the idea of connecting links. As we connect the pieces of our projects, we’ll also connect with each other and learn more about the programs and services available through Untapped Talent and MentorAbility.

No formal presentation. No pressure. Just an opportunity to meet other tradeswomen, make something fun and learn about available supports.
