Women Making Waves is an exciting summer fundraising experience that brings together adventure, networking, and community support—all in support of women pursuing careers in the skilled trades.
Guests will enjoy a spectacular private boat tour in beautiful Bay Bulls, taking in Newfoundland’s stunning coastline while connecting with industry leaders, employers, and community champions. The adventure continues with a relaxed beach picnic and networking reception, creating the perfect setting to build relationships, celebrate success, and support the next generation of women in trades.
Every ticket helps fuel opportunity, with proceeds supporting the Office to Advance Women Apprentices (OAWA) Scholarship Program, providing financial assistance to women working toward rewarding careers in the skilled trades.

When: July 23, 2026
- 3:15pm Meet at the OAWA Parking lot (89 McNamara Drive) for group transportation to Gatheralls Boat tours in Bay Bulls
- 4:15pm – Picnic Reception
- 6:30pm – Depart for boat tour
- 8:00pm – Depart Bay Bulls on bus
