The Office to Advance Women Apprentices NL is proud to present the Extraordinary Employer Award, celebrating employers in Newfoundland and Labrador who demonstrate outstanding leadership in creating meaningful opportunities for women in skilled trades.

As a support organization, we have been fortunate to work with many employers who champion women’s advancement in the trades. Their commitment is reflected in workplaces that are safer, more inclusive, and more welcoming—environments where tradeswomen can thrive. By recognizing these exceptional employers, we hope to inspire others to learn from their example and continue building a stronger, more equitable skilled trades community.

Tradeswomen submitting a nomination are asked to include a short written statement describing how the employer demonstrates exceptional support for tradeswomen and contributes to their success.
